  Zhifeng Yang      
         


Zhifeng Yang is a professor of Environmental Science at Beijing Normal University. He is the Dean of the School of Environment and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Water Environment Simulation.

He graduated from the Department of Water Conservancy and Engineering, Tsinghua University in 1989. He has long been working on the environmental science and has been abroad for times. He has won the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress three times (in 2003, 2004 and 2005) set by Ministry of Education, China. Besides, he is a productive scholar who authored more than 10 books of water resources management, urban planning, ecological engineering, and published over 300 peer-reviewed papers as well.

Prof. Yang is also active in professional activities. He is a Branch Chairman of International Environmental Informatics Association, Branch Chairman of Environmental Geography of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Director of Environmental Consulting and Appraisal Committee, Executive Director of Beijing Environmental Society, committee member of International Committee of Human and the Biosphere in China, member of Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Education, China. He is now associate editor of Journal of Environmental Informatics, Journal of Environmental Sciences, editorial member of Journal of Hydrodynamics, Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, Frontiers of Environmental & Engineering in China. He served for times as Chairman or member of Program Committees for a number of international academic conferences in the past years.
